Montana Tech Kern County Endowed Scholarship

Montana Tech Alumni Chapter in Bakersfield, CA was formed in 2015. Our purpose is to GROW the Montana Tech network by CONNECTING California Alumni while SUPPORTING local communities. This will allow us to create new and maintain existing meaningful relationships. Together we will have a positive impact on people's lives.

With this in mind, we are working to establish an endowed scholarship that will connect local high school students across California to pursue higher education at Montana Tech. Our initial goal is to fund a $25,000 endowment. The endowment will make 4% of the fund balance available each year for a scholarship. By meeting our goal, we’ll make a $1,000 scholarship available the first year. As the fund grows each year through investment returns and additional gifts, the scholarship will grow as well.

As members of the Montana Tech Alumni Chapter in Bakersfield, CA, we are grateful for the education we received from Montana Tech, the relations we formed there, and the opportunities our Montana Tech education has given us. Now it's our turn to create opportunities for the next generation of Montana Tech students. Please join us and give today to establish the Montana Tech Kern County Scholarship.
