The Montana Access Scholarship provides our campus a unique opportunity. The 66th Montana Legislature approved $2 million in need-based student aid that, when matched one-to-one by private donations, will provide a total of $4 million in financial aid for students in the Montana University System. To date over $129,000 has been raised toward the Montana Access Scholarship at Tech and will be matched with dollars from the State.
Looking toward academic year '20-'21, we have the opportunity to award 140 need-based scholarships provided we can raise an additional $4,874 by June. Today, we are asking you to make a gift to the Montana Access Scholarship and take advantage of the rare and wonderful opportunity for your dollars to be matched 1:1. Your $500 gift, when matched, results in one more Orediggers receiving a $1,000 scholarship!
Montana Access Scholarships of $1,000 will be awarded to qualifying resident, full-time undergraduate students enrolled for at least 12 credits per semester. The scholarship is based on need as determined by the Expected Family Contribution (EFC), an index number that is calculated according to a formula established by law and the information from the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
