The 2021-22 golf season was incredible for the Montana Tech golf teams in the classroom, in the community, and on the course.
For the first time in fifteen years, an Oredigger was selected the Frontier Conference Player of the Year, Sean Ramsbacher. The Orediggers placed four women and three men on the all-conference team, and nine Orediggers were selected academic all-conference, all while maintaining 3.51 women’s golf team GPA and a 3.47 men’s golf team GPA.
With rosters made up entirely of Montana natives the young and talented women’s team set multiple school records for scoring average, birdies in a season, and low team score. The men’s team rewrote the record book in categories including birdies, eagles, scoring average, and low team scores.
We are incredibly proud of these Orediggers and want to ensure their future success. We invite you to join the Montana Tech Birdie Club which raises money to allow this team to compete in some of the best collegiate tournaments, provide needed equipment, and continue to recruit the best student-athletes from Montana.
Coach Sean Ryan has high goals for our men’s and women’s golf programs that include winning Frontier Conference Championships, being invited to the NAIA National Tournaments, and making Montana Technological University the best university to play golf for in Montana and the Northwest, all while excelling in the classroom and the community.
With your help and support, we can make this happen! Thank you for considering making a gift today and joining the Montana Tech Golf Birdie Club. Please help us spread the word! Share this project on social media, by email and tell your friends!
