Invest in the legacy of Montana Tech Cross Country and Track & Field!

Since its inception, Montana Tech’s cross country and track & field have excelled at doing things fast. Tasked in January 2020 with recruiting a men’s and women’s cross-country team that would be ready to compete by that August, the staff had their work cut out for them. They needed a roster that boasted not just good athletes but those that fit the academic profile of a rigorous and rewarding institution. 

The success right out of the gate allowed for the announcement of the addition of track & field in January of 2021.  

Thanks to the support of Montana Tech, the Butte community, and Oredigger Nation, we have established a program that represents Montana Tech well and is constantly raising the bar. 

In five short years, we had teams and athletes who have qualified for national championships, produced 28 All-Americans, and have brought home six Frontier Conference Championships in track & field and one in cross country. Altogether the program has earned 70 individual conference champions, 4 Frontier Track Athletes of the Year and 5 Frontier Field Athletes of the Year. 

The performance of our teams has exceeded expectations. To date, we have had 99 national qualifiers. With our success comes the need to raise funds. We are proud to qualify teams and athletes to compete in national meets, but this honor also presents costs not factored into the original operational budget of our program. 

To continue raising the bar for our program and to continue recruiting the best and brightest athletes in Montana and beyond, we are asking for your support with a gift to the Montana Tech Cross Country and Track & Field Podium Club. Please consider donating to help us provide the best gear, facilities, travel, and scholarships to our student-athletes as we strive to be not only the best in the Frontier Conference but in the NAIA. 

Gifts made to the Podium Club will allow for greater opportunity to increase the overall student athlete experience and pave the way for greater success as we maintain a championship level program and seek a NAIA National Championship.
