Montana Tech Women's Basketball has a long tradition of student athletes that excel not just on the court but also in the classroom and our community. Your Orediggers boast an overall team GPA of 3.63. During the 17-18 season the Montana Tech Woman's Basketball program earned a 2017 Buffalos Funds Star Champions of Character Award in addition to 11 Academic All-Conference honors, 4 NAIA Daktronics Academic All-Americans, 2 All-Conference honors,1 All-American, and 1 Sixth man of the Year award.
In post season Frontier Conference honors the Orediggers ended up 1st in offensive rebounds per game at 13.7, 1st in total rebounds per game at 38.9, 1st in steals per game at 9.7, and 2nd in scoring offense at 69.63.
Each year our student athletes also lead in our community by volunteering for events and organizations like Dress a Child, Relay for Life, Walk to School Day, Mariah’s Challenge Pink Game, #HoustonStrong, Celebration of Butte Youth Carnival, Read for Peace and many more.
