Montana Tech Founders Fund

Celebrating our history and growth with the Montana Tech Founders Fund!

For 125 years, Montana Technological University has been an institution of opportunity, innovation, and impact, a place where determined doers gain the knowledge, skills, and experience to make a difference in their professions and communities.

Montana Tech, originally founded as the Montana State School of Mines, opened its doors on September 11, 1900, with a single building (Main Hall) and two degree programs: Mining Engineering and Electrical Engineering. Since then, the university has grown into Montana's only Special Focus science and engineering university, expanding its mission to meet the evolving needs of industry, society, and the world around us.

Throughout our history, Montana Tech has remained committed to hands-on learning, innovation, hard work, and opportunity. As we celebrate our 125th Anniversary, we are proud to launch the Founders Fund, an opportunity to honor our legacy while investing in the future of Montana Tech.

The Founders Fund will support Montana Tech's 125th Anniversary celebrations while also providing flexible resources to advance student success, faculty excellence, innovative programs, and emerging opportunities across campus.

And today, your impact can go even farther.

Thanks to a generous $10,000 matching challenge, every gift made to the Founders Fund will be matched dollar-for-dollar until the challenge is fulfilled. Your support today will have twice the impact in helping Montana Tech continue its tradition of excellence and innovation.

Join us in celebrating 125 years of Montana Tech by making a gift to the Founders Fund today.

Thank you for your support, and please help us spread the word by sharing this project with your family, friends, classmates, and colleagues.
